“Maggie Kang” Receives Highest Honor
“Maggie Kang”, writer and director of Netflix’s “KPop Demon Hunters”, received the Order of Cultural Merit, the ceremony’s highest distinction. The animated feature became Netflix’s most-watched movie ever, showcasing Korea’s expanding influence in global entertainment.

Presidential citations went to CEOs driving Korean content overseas. “Park Yeong-seok” of Pan Entertainment, producer of iconic dramas like “Winter Sonata” and “When Life Gives You Tangerines”, earned recognition alongside “Yun Hyunjoon” of Studio Slam, creator of hit shows including “Culinary Class Wars”.
