The DDP, designed by renowned architect “Zaha Hadid,” opened in 2014 with a revolutionary vision. Her metonymic landscape approach captured Seoul’s history, culture, and street-level energy within a flowing structure covered by 45,000 unique aluminum tiles—no two are the same.

The Squid Game Experience
Before heading up, visitors suit up in bright cyan or pink jumpsuits designed by eco-friendly Korean fashion duo Kanghyuk. The pre-tour briefing feels like preparing for a space mission, complete with harnesses, helmets, and safety protocols that add an unexpected thriller vibe.

From the rooftop, you’ll see Dongdaemun Market, Mount Namsan Tower, Dongdaemun Gate, and the Seoul City Wall. The tour follows four themed sections—design, history, panorama, and future—creating a time-traveling urban experience across the city’s layers.

Getting There
The DDP connects directly to Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station on subway lines 2, 4, and 5. With over 20 million expected visitors by the end of 2025, this architectural gem continues to rank as one of Seoul’s most impressive landmarks.
